COAL invited to the “Sustainability and Cultural Institutions” conference in Madrid

The spanish network for sustainable development in collaboration with theInternational University of AndalusiaOn Tuesday, April 4 and Wednesday, April 5, at the Casa Encendida in Madrid, a pioneering conference will be held in Spain to raise awareness and mobilize cultural actors around sustainable development and to provide the necessary tools to understand the new international context, marked by theAgenda 2030 and the Paris agreements.

Objective of the conference

Cultural institutions have a key role in the dissemination of sustainable development and must also take into account the economic, social and environmental dimensions of this sector today.

This formative conference will introduce participants to the “Sustainable Development Goals” of the 2030 Agenda adopted by the United Nations General Assembly, which must be met by all countries by 2030. Finally, she will discuss how to integrate this program into the country’s cultural institutions.

Numerous interventions ofinternational actors of the cultural, political and scientific sector will punctuate these two days. Lauranne Germond, director of COAL, will speak on Tuesday, April 4 from 4pm about partnerships between art and sustainable development” alongside Joan Llinares(mayor of the city of Barcelona) and Ricardo Almenar(biologist and sustainable development specialist).
