ECO-MOVEMENT RESEARCH LAB AND PERFORMANCE
Artemisia Noctis: A Grammar of Darkness (Arianrhod’s Threshold) A project by Elena Bajo, presented within Sans Réserve — La Nuit – Prix COAL 2026 Nominees Exhibition at Musée de la Chasse et de la Nature, Paris
Interdisciplinary artist and choreographer Elena Bajo, recipient of the Prix Spécial Hors Compétition – Fondation Carmignac, is looking for participants, dancers and movement practitioners to take part in a collaborative research laboratory, specially conceived for Sans Réserve, the event dedicated to artistic creation committed to ecology, at the Musée de la Chasse et de la Nature on 4 December.
The process will be developed through Bajo’s “Anarchoreographic” Method: choreographic structures that dismantle hierarchy to listen to non-human agencies, plant intelligence, and ancestral botanical memory. The laboratory will explore repetition, weight, breath, scent, voice, darkness and collective transmission. We will consider how ecological and sensory relations can be embodied and transformed into precise movement.
Participants should be comfortable using the body as a mode of research, thought and composition, and able to generate, develop and retain movement material within collaborative process.
Process & Details:
Laboratory and rehearsals: 4 sessions between 9 November and 3 December 2026 (one 2-hour session per week, followed by a dress rehearsal).
Performance Opening: Dec 4, 2026 at dusk.
Location: Musée de la Chasse et de la Nature, Paris
Compensation: Participation in the laboratory is free; a stipend is provided to compensate for work, rehearsals, and performance time.
