THE VIF PROGRAM – WINNER OF THE “SUPPORT GREEN ALTERNATIVES 2*” PROGRAM

We are proud to announce the launch of our VIF project, supported by the French government as part of France 2030’s “Soutenir les alternatives vertes 2*” scheme, operated by the Banque des territoires (Caisse des Dépôts), which supports innovation in all its forms, in the service of the ecological transition of cultural players.

Supported by COAL in collaboration with Marguerite Courtel, co-founder of the Les Augures collective, Antoine Vallier, co-founder of Darwin data, and theInstitut Michel Serres, our program aims to help cultural professionals measure their biodiversity footprint. It responds to the cultural sector’s need to measure, train and equip itself in order to place the living world at the heart of its transformation challenges, in response to the urgent need to preserve ecosystems. Based on specific case studies, this program will produce an exemplary biodiversity reference framework for cultural players, methodological tools for cultural professionals to enhance their skills, meetings and dialogue with nature conservation experts, while exploring the role that artists can play in preserving the living world and the potential of culture-based solutions.

*This call for projects is financed by the Government as part of France2030, designed in conjunction with the General Secretariat for Investment and the Ministry of Culture, and operated by Banque des Territoires (Caisse des Dépôts Group) on behalf of the French State.
