ACT – Art Climat Transition, our European cooperation network!

ACT – Art Climat Transition, our European cooperation network!

ACT is a European cooperation project on ecology, climate change and social transition. In an era of climate disruption, mass extinctions and rising inequality, ACT is gathering its forces around a hopeful project. By combining global perspectives with local opportunities, ACT invites us to act (ACT).

At the source of this project with a European scope, there are 10 cultural structures from 10 European countries working in the fields of performance and visual arts. ACT is a project supported by the European Union’s Creative Europe program until 2023.

The network allows for the commissioning and co-production of artistic projects consistent with its values. Also, under the banners of ” Collection Europe ” and ” Relay lectures “, the project produces two forms of artistic and local activities based on exchange and sharing through the different European countries of the network members. Finally, Summerlabs are an opportunity to bring all ACT members together in one place to collectively reflect on environmental issues during public events.

In keeping with ACT’s commitment to political action, the program’s artistic agenda is coordinated with two international events on climate and biodiversity. The first of these milestones takes place at the IUCN World Conservation Congress from June 11-19, 2020, where COAL is rolling out its program
