Loïc Fel at the Night of Ideas, Romania

Thursday, January 30, 2020, for the Night of Ideas, Loïc Fel is at the French Institute in Cluj, Romania, to participate in the debate, “What is the role of art in the fight for ecology?”

From Dakar to Los Angeles to Cluj-Napoca, the Night of Ideas invites us to celebrate the circulation of thoughts, debates and exchanges on the major issues of our time, around the theme of “being alive”.

What is being alive? What is our place in the living world? How does “being alive” force us to take action? These are the questions at the heart of this edition, which brings together 221 debates in 83 countries.

In Cluj-Napoca, the Night of Ideas takes the form of a debate on the relationship between art and ecology, accompanied by thematic workshops on recycling and exhibitions on deforestation and plastic pollution of the oceans.
