Two of the co-founders of COAL, organized on June 8, 2004 the international conference “The Artist as a stakeholder” at UNESCO: Alice Audouin, then marketing and communication director of Novethic and Lauranne Germond, then director of consulting at MPG Art (now Havas Art). <\/span><\/h3>\n

On the occasion of this conference, they jointly conducted the first research of artists on the theme of sustainable development and published a catalog.
\nOf course, since then the list of artists has grown considerably and some of the names chosen at the time are no longer as relevant today.
\nMore than 200 people attended the symposium, which marked the first dialogue between three separate worlds: NGOs, businesses and artists, on the question of current environmental and social issues.
\nThe intervention of the YES MEN was not without criticism on the structure of the conference itself, which involved companies!<\/p>\n
