COAL&#8217;s mission is to create a thematic collection of &#8220;art and sustainable development&#8221; and to develop synergies between GreenFlex on the one hand, and the artistic world on the other, in order to promote projects related to the preservation of the environment, the mobilization of citizens and their awareness.<\/p>\n<h5><a href=\"https:\/\/projetcoal.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/GMA-AF-LAI-021.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-13089\" title=\"Aur\u00e9lien Froment, a landscape of dominoes, 2011\" src=\"https:\/\/projetcoal.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/GMA-AF-LAI-021-e1448475204995.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\"><\/a><span style=\"font-size: 0.83em; font-weight: normal;\">A<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 0.83em; font-weight: normal;\">ur\u00e9lien Froment, <em>a landscape of dominoes<\/em>, 2011, wallpaper<\/span><\/h5>\n<p><strong>The new works in the &#8220;Art and Sustainable Development&#8221; collection<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The artistic direction of the collection is ensured by Lauranne Germond, director of COAL and curator and Ma\u00ebva Blandin, curator. The collection, inaugurated on January 30, 2013 in the company&#8217;s new premises located in the 9th arrondissement, initially brought together works by Thierry Boutonnier, Lucie Chaumont, Camille Goujon, Malgorzata Lempicka-Brian and Lucy + Jorge Orta, as well as a partnership with the latter around the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.antarcticaworldpassport.com\/fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Antarctic Universal Passport<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In 2014, four new works were added to the collection, by artists David Buckland, HeHe, Johann Rivat and Claire Tabouret.<\/p>\n<p>On April 09, 2015, GreenFlex and COAL celebrated this third year of collaboration with the addition of works by <strong>Lucy + Jorge Orta, J\u00fcrgen Nefzger, Romain Bernini and Aur\u00e9lien Froment<\/strong> to the collection.<\/p>\n<h5><a href=\"https:\/\/projetcoal.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/4592-bd.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-13087\" title=\"Romain Bernini, Untitled, 2014\" src=\"https:\/\/projetcoal.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/4592-bd-e1448474800939.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"624\" srcset=\"https:\/\/projetcoal.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/4592-bd-e1448474800939.jpg 500w, https:\/\/projetcoal.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/4592-bd-e1448474800939-481x600.jpg 481w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><span style=\"font-size: 0.83em; font-weight: normal;\">R<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 0.83em; font-weight: normal;\">omain Bernini,<em> Untitled<\/em>, 2014, oil on canvas<\/span><\/h5>\n<p>All these artists engage in a deep reflection on the consequences, direct or indirect, of Man on his environment in the Anthropocene era. They move and stage, through various practices, the main current ecological issues.<br \/>\n<strong>Lucy + Jorge Orta<\/strong>artists of international renown who have been working together since 1991 to raise awareness, address in the works in the two works of the collection from the corpus  <em>Antarctica<\/em>They also convey a message of peace and hope by using the Antarctic as a supranational emblem of human rights.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Aur\u00e9lien Froment  <\/strong>emphasizes in  <em>A landscape of dominoes<\/em>the economic and social construction of our industrial landscape, calling for a transition to more sustainable models, while  <strong>Romain Bernini<\/strong>in his oil on canvas  <em>Untitled<\/em>This work questions the forest as a force resisting industrial civilization, a utopia of a return to the wild.<br \/>\n<strong>J\u00fcrgen Nefzger <\/strong>takes the chimneys of nuclear power plants as his motif in his series <em>Fluffy Clouds <\/em>and draws up a significant inventory of our daily landscape, thereby sending a message of hope resolutely turned towards the energy transition.<\/p>\n<h5><span style=\"font-size: 1em; font-weight: normal;\">First photo credit: <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1em; font-weight: normal;\">Lucy+ Jorge Orta,<\/span><em style=\"font-size: 1em; font-weight: normal;\"> Antarctica Flag,<\/em><span style=\"font-size: 1em; font-weight: normal;\"> 2007, lambda print on dibond<\/span><\/h5>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The founder of Ethicity and Executive Director of GreenFlex, Elisabeth Reiss, a well-known figure in the world of sustainable development, and Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Rodriguez, President and Founder of the Greenflex Group, have decided to mobilize and promote art as a lever for changing representations and behaviors in favor of environmental awareness.
