Thought as an invitation to (re)discover the forest near you, the Nuits des Forêts work to make citizens aware of the importance of forests. For 10 days, the festival allows you to meet those who contribute to the maintenance and protection of forests, and to reconnect with nature in a sensitive way through shows, exhibitions of works and other atypical and immersive experiences, day and night.

For this new edition, following the fires that severely affected the French forests in 2022, the debates around their future have never been so numerous. Faced with these concerns, the Nuits des Forêts wished to strengthen the actions of awareness and mobilization of citizens.

THE ASSOCIATION NUITS DES FORÊTS

By encouraging dialogue between forests and culture, Nuits des Forêts wishes to raise society’s awareness of forestry issues and promote new relationships with the living world, at the level of each territory.

To invite society to better know and understand French forests, the association initiates actions to raise awareness and mobilize citizens, with the aim of contributing to a society project for forests that is creative, committed and participatory.

The association Nuits des Forêts was co-founded by Lauranne Germond, Director of COAL, Paul Jarquin, President of REI Habitat and Fibois France, and Clara Anguenot, current head of the association, who is also a dancer and choreographer.
