For the emergence of a cultural ecology.
First edition on October 5 at the Goethe Institut in Nancy. As Johann Wolfgang von Goethe once said, “A host of thoughts are born and developed by the effect of the general culture of minds, just as branches are covered with flowers in spring“. Blühen, German for flowering, is the name of the new cultural ecology event created by the Goethe Institut in Nancy with COAL, in homage to the famous poet and botanist, who was as interested in the beauty of words as he was in the mystery of flowers. Join artists, philosophers and cultural players in the Goethe Institut’s garden, inherited from the Nancy school and its botanical gardens, to let imaginations, desires, inspirations and the thousand and one ways of rethinking our relationship with living things blossom. This first day of artistic and cultural experiences, encounters, performances and gardening will be devoted to the need to take care: care of the Earth, care of ourselves and of others, both human and otherwise. On the program:
Performance and workshops with Clément Richem, Claire Hannicq and the Nancy botanical garden Debate “The art of care” with philosopher Jean-Philippe Pierron, curator Beatrice Josse, artists Clément Richem and Claire Hannicq and Rémi Saxe from the botanical garden.

Animated by Loic Fel (COAL).

Storytelling tasting by Géraldine Longueville Followed by a reception hosted by chef Débora Incorvaia
