COAL new member of the European network Imagine 2020 Art and Climate Change.

COAL new member of the European network Imagine 2020 Art and Climate Change.

COAL is part of Imagine 2020, the first European network of cooperation around Art and Climate Change, which brings together twelve cultural structures in Europe. Created in 2010, this network is co-financed by the European Union since its inception. EU support has just been renewed for another four years (2015-2019).

Imagin2020’s objectives are to support artistic projects that question the causes and effects of climate change, to raise awareness among the artistic community and the general public, to rethink artists’ mobility and production practices, with a view to bringing about change in the cultural sector and beyond.

By integrating this network, COAL wishes to mutualize its actions at the European level with quality structures sharing common values around ecology. In 2015, this will be reflected in the development of ArtCOP21, a large-scale European and international cultural program created in the context of the United Nations Climate Change Conference to be held in Paris in December 2015.
