SECOND MULTI-SITE FESTIVAL OF THE TABLE AND THE TERRITORY

As part of our program La Table et le Territoire, we are organizing a month-long festival across Europe to meet artists and cultural actors committed to the future of sustainable food.

On the program: exhibitions, installation, performances, meetings, workshops, screenings in five partner venues of the program: the agro-cultural farms Zone Sensible (Saint-Denis, FR) ArtMill (Horažďovice, CZ), and Campo Adentro (Madrid, ES), the art center dedicated to ecology Parco Arte Vivente (Turin, IT), and the artistic and citizens’ venue Tavros (Athens, GQ).

August 28, Saint-Denis (France): Great participatory banquet of 1200 meters by the artist Yvan Loiseau and Olivier Darné linking the basilica of Saint-Denis to the Stade de France in Saint-Denis. On the menu, a visual and culinary performance by the artist Olivier Darné / Parti Poétique and his brand new culinary creation, La Flèche, which will be offered to the first 400 Dionysians. Come with your table if you can, or your chairs, and food!

September 18, Zone Sensible, Saint-Denis (France): A day in the heart of Zone Sensible with a rich program: a cooking workshop using recipes from Saint-Denis to celebrate the publication of the book Récits-Recettes, a wine tasting workshop with the artist Anthony Duchênea bread workshop decorated with the Greek artist Maria Varelaa sound performance by Reese Schumacher and an art installation by the duo Trapier-Duporté.

From September 15 to 30, TAVROS, Athens (GR): Project of the artists’ collective Hypercomf which includes an interactive website, an exhibition (from September 15) and a workshop (on September 19). Based on research on Saccharomyces Cerevisiae, a yeast common to bread, wine, beer and humans, the collective looked at NASA’s space mission to test this yeast in space to assess the impact of space radiation on the human body.

August 13 – September 19, ArtMill, Horažďovice (CZ): A series of seed-themed events with an exhibition of local artists and geodesic dome Future Gardens, featuring American artist Newton Harrison, installation and participatory workshop “Unless a Seed/Emancipation into Solitude” by the artist Alexandra Wolska, seed exchange, participatory banquet, performances and exhibitions of Czech artists Veronica Bromova, Tomaš Hruza and Hana Novakova.

September 16-26, Campo Adentro, Madrid (ES): A series of events organized at the Casa del Campo, on the outskirts of Madrid and at the INLAND village, to reflect on the challenges of an urban rurality. At the heart of the transition to sustainability is the imperative task of rethinking and redesigning cities and integrating them into ecological cycles. With Indira Béraud, Olivier Darné, Coline Gautier and Sergio Montero Bravo.

September 18, Parco Arte Vivente, Turin (IT) : Intervention and workshop with the collective Free Home University and the curator Alessandra Pomarico. Free Home University is an educational and artistic experience focused on generating new ways of sharing and creating knowledge by experiencing life together.
