Drinking landscapes is a research-creation conducted by the French artist
Anthony Duchêne
and the journalist-oenologist
Dominique Hutin
.
As he wanders through the vineyards, the natural and atypical techniques developed by some peasant-winegrowers, Anthony Duchêne takes an interest in peasant viticultural techniques in several areas, in France but also in Greece and Spain.
Each of these finds is singular and thought out with respect for the balance of nature. This is all it takes to fuel the artist’s artistic approach, which combines the creation of works of art on wine-growing sites, a series of interviews, a photo essay and the publication of a book, based on three chapters: Animal, Vegetal and Mineral.
These phases of research and discovery are punctuated by several tasting sessions and restitution through tasting workshops for the public, during the second edition of the festival La Table et le Territoire or during the event Les Nouvelles Gastronomies, organized at the Cité internationale des Arts in Paris in December 2021.
