After two previous editions devoted to the questions of consumption and then the city, the art exhibition presents, this year, works of artists in regard to water.
Water is a resource, essential to all life on earth, but also a fundamental cultural fact that is found in all myths and all cultures since the origins. It is fascinating to think that water has always been the same, one and the same quantity of matter that constitutes and reconstitutes, without distinction, bodies and plants, thus uniting all the elements of the living world by a common organic history. We are all made up of 65% water cells that were once the body of another. Charged with this very strong symbolism, water is a magical material, positive and fertile but reciprocally fearsome and transitory. The stakes linked to climate change and other ecological and human emergencies linked to water, bring back a very old imaginary made of floods, sunken worlds, thirst and tears. Poetic, metaphorical, or in the form of investigations, pedagogy or activism, the artists develop an aesthetic fed by legends, apprehension and urgency. Works and forms that can be discovered at this exhibition.

From May 29 to April 1, 2012.
