FEBRUARY 2023: IT’S MOVING AT APPEL D’AIR!

FEBRUARY 2023: IT’S MOVING AT APPEL D’AIR!

From February 23 to 28, the Appel d’air team was busy in the nursery of Vive les Groues for the departure of some of the trees… which we remember the first shoots in 2017!

From February 23 to 26, the workcamp first consisted of moving, pruning and moving trees, making cuttings and preparing root balls, with the help of several volunteers and tree sponsors.

On February 27 and 28, the proud paulownia tomentosa left Nanterre to continue their growth in the Pépinières Franciliennes, until they are planted in front of the 68 new stations of the Grand Paris Express by 2035.

No need to panic, 22 trees remained on site before their final planting at Vive les Groues! To these, we had to provide some care of repotting, staking, labeling, to accompany the continuation of their growth, and prepare the rich spring season where new activities and meetings around the project Appel d’Air will flourish. In the longer term, it is also with these trees that we will have the pleasure of continuing to invite sponsors and the general public to participate in arboricultural activities.
