CONFERENCE CYCLE ” ART AND SUSTAINABLE CREATION ” AT CENTQUATRE – INTERVENTION OF COAL – 08.11.11

Within the framework of the 2011 edition of the international exhibition of contemporary art Jeune Création at the Centquatre, the association COAL is invited to participate in a cycle of conference on the theme “Art and Sustainable Creation” organized by Christian Globensky, visual artist and professor at the Art School of Metz Metropole.

This intervention will take place on Tuesday, November 8 from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the presence of Lauranne Germond and Loïc Fel, founding members of COAL.

Loïc Fel – philosopher and responsible for sustainable development in companies – develops a reflection on environmental issues through an understanding of nature that has taken the form of a theory on aesthetic perception: “green aesthetics”. Beyond the exploration of the artists’ expressions, it is the function and the social field of art itself that ecology questions and calls into question.

Lauranne Germond – curator, co-founder of COAL – Curator specialized in sustainable development, she has been working for several years on the creation of COAL which promotes the integration of the artist within a network of stakeholders on societal and environmental issues.
